                                      Cardboard Totem Face

Plain and simple brown cardboard. Think about it differently. Prime it up

And paint it with bright colors. Add lots of texture with paint and glue.

Cut out the pieces and glue onto the face part of the head. Are you my family?

Mary made stamps

One of the stamps I made from discarded styrofoam. It 

Makes a nice overall texture when I stamp it again and again.

Heart Girl

    Found parts were added together. A sweet angel girl 

    Showed up. 

    Cast paper. Decorated paper. Texture all around.

The Single Figure

                     Single Figure

A small (4 x6) piece from recycled materials. The black paint was textured with plastic wrap and let dry. A cutout ( using a lightweight product box) was positioned over the textured background. Black paint was dry brushed around it to pop out the shape of the figure. Red acrylic was also slightly dry brushed. Once dry a white Soufflé pen was used to draw the lines and stars. Unpredictable and lovely!

      Mâché boxes. Stacked into textured 

     Totems . Hang in spots for little 

      Textured art spots.

Honeycomb

Circle shapes from twisted sheets of newspaper. Small rolls or primed and glued newspaper fill in the negative spaces. Everything is primed in white. 

Draw threads, string or metallic yarn across the open circles. A honeycomb to create wall texture.

Hand made Books

The paper on the covers is recycled newspaper with lots of texture .

Cast paper pulp

Shredded paper pulp cast as the frame. Using a personal pizza box for the mold. I used caulking silicone to cast the gold figure. Loving all the texture!

Paper patterns

Thinking of quilts in lovely colors and patterns.... But these are paper.

Op Pop

Loving the fluid paint on painted paper. Allowing the paint to pool and puddle at will. Keeping the pattern but breaking the monotony......

Paper mâché Sun Doll

                    Sun Stream

Paper mâché modeled over a paper towel tube to form the doll body. Painted layers of cheesecloth are layered over to create her skirt.

Mosaic from Foam packing trays

Pieces cut from trays and glued onto painted paper. Darker backgrounds work best. This one is free form....cutting....

Piecing.......gluing. Gold paint dry brushed over the pieces to finish.
