Whimsical Village
Toon Town
Multilevel town from Styrofoam tray parts. Decorated with
chalks and pens. That sun in the sky is hot melt glue.
The deconstructed corrugated cardboard is the sky ground
on a paper mache-d box as the canvas.
This one can sit on a shelf or hang
on the wall.

The Single Figure
A small (4 x6) piece from recycled materials. The black paint was textured with plastic wrap and let dry. A cutout ( using a lightweight product box) was positioned over the textured background. Black paint was dry brushed around it to pop out the shape of the figure. Red acrylic was also slightly dry brushed. Once dry a white Soufflé pen was used to draw the lines and stars. Unpredictable and lovely!

Moonlight
Me and the Moon
In a collage of simple things the circles and squares
are the unknown spaces.
I find the moon in the circles and squares.
Woman in the moon.

Fish in a Row: Aquarium
Aquarium
Paper-mache ice cream bar boxes for canvases. Yogurt cups make the decorative
ovals that join the three. Underwater swirls and bubbles cut form discarded Styrofoam meat and produce trays.
The fish could be carp or dolphins or whales.
Also cut from Styrofoam meat trays and decorated with hot melt
glue decorations.
Dive in.

Stamped Sheep
Stamped Sheep
Primed and painted newspaper for the paper.
Heavy junk mail for the rectangular stamps.
Cut the sheep shape out of heavy postcard junk mail.
Use the sheep shape as a stamp. Paint with white paint and
press into the rectangle.
When the paint is dry use a black pen to draw the sheep faces and ears.
Pan's Labyrinth
Pan's Labyrinth
Papier-mâché on cast off boxes are the canvas.
It crease a nice depth and is good use of things that would
just fill up the garbage can.
Once the paper mache is dry the boxes are primed and painted.
I use paper pulp to cast leaves. I use paper pulp to create organic texture sheets with
circles.
I twisted junk mail into spirals and a dancing figure.
Into the labyrinth mysterious and dark.
