Op Pop
Loving the fluid paint on painted paper. Allowing the paint to pool and puddle at will. Keeping the pattern but breaking the monotony......

Fluid Painting
Something like Chinese brush work but I used thinned acrylic paint in a bottle with a nozzle. And I used a thin dowel to scratch into and pull some of the wet paint.

I used 3 boxes and paper mache to make the
long thin stick. I primed it with primer and then colored it with
acrylic paint. I used a dry brush to layer the colers on
lightly and create variation.
The raised figure and triangles and rectangles
are cut from styrofoam trays that
meats and poultry come packaged in
at the grocery store.
I used primer on them after they were washed and
dried and let the primer dry completely.
I used a sharp (key word being sharp...a dull x-acto
will tear the edges of the styrofoam) x-acto knife
and cut the figure shape and the other simple shapes.
I painted the shapes with different colors before
I applied them to the
stick.
I used white glue to attach
and after they were dry I went over the
top surfaces with more dry brush colors to add
visual texture.
I also added some hot-melt glue circles
around the dancing figure for more interest.
Next, I'm working on recycled pizza box squares .....
